24 exhausted swimmers,coaches and chaperones  returned on Monday Dec 19 from Edmonton after a hard but satisfying Meet at the  Kinsman Aquatic centre  which hosted 600 swimmers from 30 clubs   in 750 splashes  .A host of Junior Provincial standards were attained as well as a handful of Championship Standards . The team performed very well with a 95% personal best average .Stars of the Meet were Finalists Madison Penney, .Leo Konge and  Gabriel Leclerc .  Both Leo and Gabriel brought home 3rd place medals in 50/100m  Butterfly events ,fighting stiff competition for this worthy  accolade .  Madison  broke 3  Polar Bear records in the girls 13-14 age group ,two of her own and the 100 m Backstoke from 2007 .Gabriel broke four  Polar Bear records in the boys 13-14 age group .3 of his own and the 400m free set in 1998 . A third record went to new commer Abby Shears when she broke the 100m Fly record for girls 13-14 which was set in1998 .Welcome to new BIG DOG  brian liand who finally roke 30 in the 50m free , weldone - For the majority of swimmers this was their biggest competion yet and although they struggled with  the gruelling 4 day schedule they adapted and performed admirably .Although we had no new Canada Games A qualifiers ,Eshana Gohil ,Emily Bell ,Kathy Truong and Elle Mitchner swam B qualiifying times . The most pleasing aspect of the Meet was the major improvement in Dives , Underwaterwork(.the new dive blocks have definetley improved our start times ) and their wer  NO disqualifications ! (only 1 scare ) Well done to all ! have a Merry Christmas ans start preparing for Hell Week .
